We are delighted to share some exciting news from our tutor Paul Weaver, who has just had a new article published in the October 2025 issue of Leisure Painter & The Artist magazine. The feature, titled Panoramic Highland Landscapes in Watercolour, explores Paul’s approach to capturing the dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands in wide format compositions.
In the article, Paul guides readers through his painting process, sharing tips on creating atmosphere, using light to define distance, and handling the scale of panoramic landscapes. His clear teaching style, well known to our students here at the London Art College, translates beautifully onto the page, making the article both inspiring and practical for artists working in watercolour.

Leisure Painter & The Artist is one of the UK’s leading art magazines, filled with step-by-step projects, demonstrations, and articles by professional artists. It is an excellent resource for our students, offering extra practice ideas, insight into materials, and exposure to a wide range of styles. Whether you are a beginner looking for confidence building exercises or a more experienced painter seeking new challenges, the magazine is full of inspiration.
