This weekend we have a lovely idea suggested by one of our students – thank you! The theme is “Super Finds.”
For this challenge, we would like you to create a piece of artwork inspired by something you have discovered or picked up that feels special. It could be a bargain from a charity shop, a sale treasure, or perhaps something found while out walking such as a colourful leaf, a pretty feather, or an unusual stone.
Your “super find” does not need to be valuable – it just needs to be meaningful or interesting to you. You might choose to draw or paint the object itself, arrange it in a still life, or even place it within a bigger scene.
The aim is to celebrate those little discoveries that make us smile and to use them as inspiration for your artwork. We are really looking forward to seeing what you choose and how you bring your “super finds” to life!
Tip: Try photographing your chosen object in different types of light – natural daylight, lamplight, or even with shadows – to see how it changes the mood. Sometimes the smallest change in lighting can give you a whole new angle for your artwork. We cant wait to hear all about your Super finds!

The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.
So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!
Remember to submit your artwork to us via email if you would like it posted on our blog next week.

Email your artwork to us for inclusion on the blog next week. We sometimes take challenge posts submitted to our Facebook group to add to the collection, however we may miss some, so if you really want to see your work here, make sure you email it to us!

All students can take part and they can post their artwork on our main Facebook Group to share with fellow students.
If you would like your work included in our weekly Thursday blog post Email it to Melanie on
techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk
Please only post new artwork that you have created specifically for the challenge.
