Weekend Art Challenge - Alphabet D Results!

Welcome to our latest challenge where we asked students to create a piece of artwork based on the letter D – and once again, you did not disappoint!

We have received a delightful and diverse collection of drawings and paintings sent in this week. From detailed studies of dogs, deer, and daffodils, to more playful takes like Donald Duck, dolphins and direction!! It’s clear the letter D sparked all sorts of creativity.

We love how each student brought their own style and imagination to the challenge, whether that was through pencil or paint. Scroll down to enjoy a brilliant display of D-inspired artwork. Stay tuned for another challenge tomorrow.

D is for DOG!!
This is a pencil sketch of my dog Mia.
She’s lying on her chair with her favourite toy, I found it hard to get the fore shortening of her legs, but am pleased with her main front leg especially!!

I did 2 small pieces this challenge. The one on the left is a pink dolphin. I used both children’s and acrylic paints with glitter on both the background and dolphin. Stickers and goggley eye used.
The one on the right is Dr.Duck. Acrylic and children’s paint used plus goggley eye.
