These atmospheric paintings by Luis Colon are part of his ongoing course work on the London Art College Drawing and Painting Diploma Course. Luis is currently around halfway through the course, and the progress he is making is already very clear.
Luis shows a growing confidence in his paintings and his watercolour techniques are beautiful and delicate. The interior scenes looking out through windows are particularly effective, while the landscape studies demonstrate a sensitive handling of tone and space.
The Drawing and Painting Diploma Course at the London Art College is designed to build strong foundations across a range of media, including drawing, watercolour, acrylic and oil. Students work through structured assignments that focus on observation, composition, tone, colour and personal expression, while developing a flexible and confident approach to painting.
Luis is clearly making the most of this structured learning and feedback, and it will be exciting to see how his work continues to evolve as he progresses through the second half of the course. We are very much looking forward to seeing what comes next.
