Our weekend art challenge today to ease us back in gently is a lovely, simple one – the Alphabet Challenge. This time we are working with the letter T.
Your challenge is to draw or paint anything beginning with the letter T. That might be something obvious, something personal, or something completely unexpected. From tigers and trees to teacups, tools or tractors – it is entirely up to you.
As always, this challenge is about getting you drawing and painting regularly, not about perfection. Keep it relaxed, enjoy the process, and see where the letter takes you.
Tips
- Do not overthink it – the first idea is often the best
- You can keep it simple or push yourself creatively
- Objects, animals, landscapes and still life are all welcome
- Focus on enjoying the act of making, rather than the end result
You can use any medium you like for this challenge.

Simply use the search box and you will find thousands of high-quality images to save and work from.

So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!

Email your artwork to us for inclusion on the blog next week. We sometimes take challenge posts submitted to our Facebook group to add to the collection, however we may miss some, so if you really want to see your work here, make sure you email it to us!
All students can take part and they can post their artwork on our main Facebook Group to share with fellow students.
