Welcome to Day 7 of our London Art College Festive Art Challenge!
Each day this December we are sharing another seasonal artwork from our students. Today’s artwork is by Ni Ni.. along with a wonderful explanation of the candles.
Advent candles
3 purple and one pink.
First week is Hope (purple)
Second week is Peace (purple)
Third week is Joy and it is pink
Fourth week is Love (purple)
Some churches use 5 candles
5th candle is Christ and white (for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)I really love doing these candles. This year is with gouache on a black paper. So, this week is hope and only one candle is lit.
The countdown is building beautifully, and we are so grateful to everyone who has contributed so far. Your creativity is making this festive journey truly joyful to follow
