We are delighted to share that Heather Crick has successfully completed the Still Life Certificate Course with tutor Alan Dedman.
Heather has produced a wide range of imaginative and thoughtful still life pieces during her studies. From classical arrangements and tonal studies through to more experimental approaches such as cubism and metaphysical themes, her work shows both technical skill and a willingness to push creative boundaries.
In her final submissions Heather reflected on how the course encouraged her to loosen up and experiment more, helping her to develop confidence in sketching, tone, and colour. She created some beautiful studies of jars and apples, and we particularly love her striking fish painting – simple yet full of life, with a wonderful use of tone and colour.
Heather has clearly put a great deal of thought into her compositions, and it has been rewarding to see her progression through the course. We wish her the very best as she continues to explore her painting journey.
If you are inspired by Heather’s artwork and would like to develop your own painting and observational skills, take a look at our Still Life Certificate Course. The course is designed to help students build a solid foundation in tone, colour, and composition, guided by supportive tutor feedback.
Congratulations once again to Heather!
