We are delighted to share the artwork of Anthony Snell, a student who has recently completed our Still Life Certificate Course with tutor Alan Dedman. Anthony has submitted his final assignment, completing a varied and thoughtful collection of still life studies. Alan was thrilled with Anthony’s work and the progress he has made throughout the course.
Anthony told Alan:
“Please find my submission for my final assignment. It has taken a while due to various work pressures, but I feel I’ve made sufficient progress to send what I have, although some of the pieces do need some more attention. I’ve enjoyed these last few pieces as they’ve encouraged me to try different things, which has enabled me to test what I like doing, and how I may progress with producing art. Thank you for your feedback on previous assignments, you have been very helpful.”
His work shows both careful observation and a willingness to experiment. From traditional arrangements exploring tone, light and shadow, through to bolder colour combinations and more abstract approaches, Anthony has clearly used this course to expand his skills and discover the techniques that resonate most with him.
The Still Life Certificate Course introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing and painting through classic still life arrangements. Working with everyday objects, students learn how to observe shape, tone, colour, and texture, while also gaining confidence to try new approaches. It is an excellent course for building a solid foundation in art, whether as a hobby or as a step towards more advanced study. You can find out more here: Still Life Certificate Course.
We would like to congratulate Anthony on his progress and dedication to his studies. We wish him every success in his future artwork – we are sure he will go far with his paintings and drawings.
