We are pleased to showcase this beautiful and imaginative illustration by Ainsley Bloomfield, a student currently studying on the Illustrating Children’s Books Diploma Course with us here at the London Art College.
This delightful piece, inspired by the nursery rhyme Row, Row, Row Your Boat, was created as part of an assignment on our course. It explores storytelling, composition, and character development which Ainsley has achieved perfectly here!
Our Illustrating Children’s Books course focuses on helping students develop their own illustrative voice while understanding the structure and requirements of the children’s publishing world. Students work through a variety of assignments, each designed to build confidence and prepare them for real-world briefs. We are very much looking forward to seeing what Ainsley comes up with next!
