I started the Drawing and Painting Diploma, taught by Paul Weaver, during the Covid pandemic. I have wanted to take an art course for a long time and this online possibility was perfect for me. It took me a long while to complete the course, fitting it around many demands on my time, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The course covered so many aspects of drawing and painting and introduced us to a wide variety of media and techniques. One in particular which I was introduced to for the first time was painting with oils. I discovered I loved this medium. The versatility of oils and the energy which can be expressed through them really attracted me. I intend to go on and explore what I can do with them further.
I have learned so much through this course, and had a lot of fun too. Paul was incredibly helpful. His feedback was always so thorough, helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend this course to anyone thinking of taking it.
