I saw this piece of artwork while on the London Art College Forum, it was created by Jon, who is currently studying with tutor Maggy Roberts on the Illustrating Children’s books Diploma. This piece particularly caught my eye, not only for the superb wet in wet watercolour work, but for it’s dynamic composition which created movement in the piece from top to bottom. I will be looking forward to seeing what else Jon produces while studying with us!
Here are two submissions from the same student currently studying the pet Portraits Diploma. The student has excelled in these mediums, the Labrador was painted in oils and the puppy was drawn in pastel on velour and both of these portraits are superb. The student should be thrilled with their achievements and I’m sure that they will do well in their future carer in painting and drawing animals.
As many of you may know the Photography Diploma Course is a relatively new course that the London Art College has recently introduced and it is becoming extremely popular with students signing up every day.
Rona Cox, who has written the course showing many examples of her superb photographs, also tutors the course. Rona is a professional working photographer with many years of experience in the field so is perfect to help budding photographers worldwide. You can read more about Rona Cox on our website.
We have now created a brand new gallery on the London Art College website dedicated to Rona’s photography students. We also felt that the image below, taken by one of our students, was the perfect way to introduce our new photography gallery. The image has been cropped for the blog, so why not go and see it in full in the gallery, along with lots of other photos too.
